Legal Workflow Software for Attorneys

Attorney creates a list of items needed to prepare a demand letter. The main task is to create a list of questions on Word doc or fillable PDF that:

• Cannot notify client, in real time, that a question was left unanswered
• May result in error as the intake responses cannot be limited to certain characters (e.g.date of injury needs to be a calendar response, car license plate needs to be a response no longer than X digits)
• May resultin client not providing necessary information if specific prompts are inadvertently left off of client intake

• Can be overwhelming for clients as they receive a general client intake form with dozens of questions not relevant to their specific situation
• Requires back and forth sending between attorney and client for any edits to the intake form, causing confusion as to which is the latest updated intake form

Attorney creates a workflow with questions that can:

• Reduce input error by limiting the type of response accepted (e.g. date of injury needs to be a calendar response, car license plate needs to be a response no longer than X digits)
• Provide context without making the document needlessly long through the use of explainer icons
• Use conditional logic so clients only see relevant questions
• Be edited at anytime directly from Gavel dashboard by attorney
• Automatically calculate the time from when the client suffered the injury
• Automatically prompt client to upload evidence from car accident (hospital treatment receipts, photographs, text messages, etc.)
• Use Gavel’s Word-add-in to manipulate data entered into the workflow to auto populate into prose (i.e. draft the demand letter on Word and tag specific fields to be auto-populated with client’s responses to workflow)

• In person intake: Client listens to questions from attorney and verbally answers to best of ability on the spot, may forget key details which alters the course of questioning; or
• Remote intake: Client fills in the PDF/word doc intake form themselves and jots down questions for attorney if unfamiliar with legal term or needs clarity; client may also be answering redundant questions if long-time client; client may lose progress completed on intake if computer hardware failure
• Input data entry from intake into firm internal systems
• Estimate the medical fees and other monetary damages resulting from this injury
• Have a meeting with the client to obtain additional details about car accident and any other intake questions that were incorrectly answered or missed
• Ask client to email attorney or bring in any physical evidence ( i.e. hospital treatment receipts, photographs, text messages, etc.)

• chooses to be as hands-off or hands-on while client completes workflow

Workflow estimates the medical fees and other monetary damages resulting from this injury
