Job Opening! Director of Content Strategy

In the next 10 years, 90% of legal services will be delivered online. What’s the obstacle? Coding the expertise of all the world’s lawyers.

Gavel is the no-code infrastructure enabling this legal revolution.

On Gavel, our lawyer-customers build web based experiences for their clients. Law firms, nonprofits and courts in 23 countries and 18 languages use Gavel as the backbone for their legal tech tools.

We’re looking for a Director of Content Strategy to help scale Gavel's impact. You’ll be working directly with our CEO to define content marketing strategy, create written and live content, and indoctrinate lawyers about why they should be building tech businesses.

If you come from the legal industry, love talking to people and presenting interesting content, and want to work with brilliant people on groundbreaking ideas, we want you on our team!

❤️ What You'll Do

  • Work with leadership to define our content marketing strategy to support key initiatives
  • Generate creative ideas on content that target our core customer and expand our reach
  • Create and present content across all funnel stages, including webinars, white papers, and customer case studies
  • Measure content KPIs on a monthly basis to show MoM growth and performance
  • Have a say in the future! Your ideas and insights will go directly into our product development

📄 Requirements

  • Experience in the legal field, ideally as an attorney (or non-practicing, with a law degree, so you can present MCLEs)
  • Written communication: Ability to write at a high level across a variety of marketing materials, including white papers, blog posts, and emails
  • Exceptional storytelling skills: Expert understanding of how to craft narratives related to the legal industry and emerging technology
  • Detail oriented: Attention to detail while creating new content and interviewing customers and experts
  • Deadline-driven: Highly organized and can manage projects across a variety of campaigns and mediums
  • (No specific marketing experience required. If you’re a bright self-starter with a passion for our mission, we know you’ll be able to do the job.)

🤚 The Benefits are Real

  • Competitive compensation package (including salary and equity opportunity)
  • Flexible PTO, sick leave, and company-wide holidays
  • Work from anywhere, and $1k WFH budget
  • Professional development allowance (e.g., courses and certifications)
  • Excellent medical, dental and vision coverage
  • Company 401(k) savings plan (non-matching)
To apply to this job, send your resume and a short message on why you're interested in the role to [email protected].
