People with a wide range of skills are encouraged to participate. “Hackathon” means a group of people all working together in a short time to try to solve a real problem. It could mean producing a web app, researching, gathering and collating data, creating a PowerPoint, or designing a set of principles and best practices that will help other legal technology projects work better in the future. Drop-ins are welcome, but anyone who can sign up in advance should do so at the link below. Here are some additional details on what you can do to prepare before the hackathon:
Attendees are expected to do most of the work for the LSC hackathon during the day of the hackathon in teams of 3-4. You do not need to come with an idea, as some teams will already be created prior to the hackathon and you are welcome to join an existing team. People will be allowed to start earlier on their projects if they want, but not expected to do so. The final projects will be presented to the wider conference on Wednesday at 5pm.
