Gavel's Academic Program

Gavel's Academic Program empowers professors and students with the resources, support, and tools they need to keep pace with the training demands of the new tech-driven legal market.

Cut drafting time by 90%

Easy intake and document automation to auto-populate your templates.

In the next 10 years, 90% of legal services will be delivered online. This rapid shift in the industry can leave students feeling uncertain about their role in modernizing firms and professors eager to assuage these concerns through curriculum updates to focus more on tech and innovation.

With free student accounts, live guest lecture support, sample assignments, and more, Gavel is here to help whether you are a student, professor, clinic director, or otherwise involved in academia or pro bono clinic work in the legal industry.

Some helpful resources for students and professors include:

Students and professors are also invited to enroll in the free Intro to Gavel (A2J Ed.) course, which gives an overview of how to use the platform and take advantage of Gavel's powerful yet easy-to-use Word Add-In and PDF tagger!

Additionally, we offer guest lectures and practical instruction to familiarize students with Gavel's robust generative AI feature "Blueprint", which can show them how AI is being used in modern law firms around the world. Blueprint analyzes templates and then suggests questions, variables, question types and more and automatically inserts the variables and questions into the templates and workflows.
